The first missionaries of the Metropolitan Church Association came to South India from the North with a deliberated vision to reach the un-reached and plant churches in their villages.
The missionary work began in the late 1940’s with 12 men (the first trainees of the MCA missionaries) who were taken to North India for Bible Training. The field was ploughed and the Gospel seed was planted in the Krishna District.
